Fly smart,
protect your gear
The dune is a demanding environment. Abrasive sand, intense UV, repeated ground launches — a personal wing, especially a lightweight one, degrades far faster than in regular flying.
Dunewing offers checked wings, purpose-built for this environment. You fly with verified gear, without risking your own.
Fly better, longer, without compromising your equipment.
Choose your wing
Paraglider or Parakite — pick the one that matches your flying style and the day’s conditions.

Frequently asked questions
Rental & equipment · Parakite equipment briefing — we answer everything.
Rental is open to autonomous pilots holding a valid licence (FFVL or equivalent) and paragliding third-party liability insurance, who are able to assess weather conditions independently and use the gear without assistance.
Locadune reserves the right to refuse a rental, without giving a reason, if safety conditions appear not to be met.
Paragliding wings (EN-A, EN-B), parakite wings and harnesses depending on availability. The equipment is mostly second-hand, used in real conditions, and visually and tactilely checked (lines) before each rental.
The choice of equipment is the pilot’s sole responsibility — based on their level, total flying weight and intended conditions.
Renting avoids premature wear on your own wing (UV, sand, salt), especially if you fly a lightweight model. You get gear adapted to the dune and stay flexible for the day’s conditions — without risking your personal equipment.
The equipment is strictly reserved for the Dune du Pilat, in mainland France. Use at any other site is prohibited. Also prohibited: contact with seawater, abrasive surfaces (rocks, gravel), professional use or lending to a third party.

A security deposit is charged at booking, supplemented by a bank hold (via Swikly). They cover damage, loss, theft and late returns according to a transparent pricing schedule available on the site.
The hold and deposit are not a liability cap — the pilot remains liable for any damages exceeding these amounts.
The gear is checked on return. Depending on the condition found, a partial or full deduction from the deposit — and if needed the hold — is applied per the pricing schedule. Any late return automatically incurs penalties, with no prior notice required.
The parakite is exclusively for experienced paragliding pilots skilled at ground-handling and inflation in strong wind. A valid FFVL licence (or equivalent) and third-party aerial liability insurance are mandatory.
A parakite equipment briefing is included in the rental before any gear handover.
It is a technical handover of the rented gear: parakite characteristics, wing behaviour on the ground, manufacturer usage guidelines.
It does not constitute regulated sports instruction, a training course or a licence. It does not replace a course run by a qualified state-certified or FFVL-certified instructor.
The Dunewing representative is the sole judge of the match between the pilot’s profile and the rented wing.
If the Dunewing representative determines that the pilot’s profile is not suited to the rented wing, they may unilaterally decide not to hand over the gear and terminate the rental.
In that case, the full rental price is refunded. This decision is final and cannot be appealed.
Yes, at Dunewing’s discretion, upon providing a supporting document dated within the last 2 years: a certificate from a qualified instructor confirming attendance at a mini-wing or parakite course.
Providing a document does not automatically confer a right to waiver. Dunewing’s decision is final.
Yes — the briefing takes place with the parakite you have rented. It will be handed over for autonomous use only if the Dunewing representative confirms that your profile matches the wing.
Yes. If conditions do not allow the briefing, it is postponed. The rental period only starts from the moment the gear is actually handed over. If the briefing cannot take place during your entire stay, the rental is fully refunded.
Unfavourable weather after gear handover does not entitle the pilot to a refund — weather risk is inherent to paragliding and parakite flying.
